Scanos was founded in 1997 by a number of long and well established orthopaedic business and has now been in operation for nearly 12 years.
Taking into account varied factors the Scanos partners came together and created this solid European platform and dedicated it solely to orthopaedics and orthopaedic surgeons.
Modern orthopaedic implant manufacturing requires a multitude of different specialists: plastic experts for the PE, forging or casting specialists, high performing machining, coating expertise, textile experts for ligament or sutures, ceramic maestria for bearings etc.
Such a multitude of experts can be found in no one company and this led Scanos to decide upon having each specificity subcontracted to specialists for each specific competence. This strategy allowed Scanos to be able to carefully develop a complete range of implants which now cover all the major articulations, hips through Scanos itself, knees and shoulders from Evolutis.
In order to best distribute these implants Scanos has based its strategy on a similar philosophy. Only chose specilists. Our international department is therefore a choice selection of the best national or local distributors endeavouring to satisfy your specific demands. In fact the people who have probably been your closest contacts for years. In so far as France is concerned the Scanos products, HACTIV-CAPTIV-REACTIV-Scan Anchor and C-nail have been given to EVOLUTIS, the manufacturer, for distribution. The mentionned and named products remaining the exclusive property of Biomed.
